6. All the connections in this life are the result of past lives’ cultivation. Therefore, we should believe that everyone we meet in this life has had profound connections in our previous lives. Those passers-by who brush past us might have been neighbors, tea friends, or even close friends or relatives in the past.
7. Life’s journey is like the wind, and we are but a tiny speck in it, perhaps a dust particle, a water droplet, or a flower petal. Yet, there is always a resting place that will take in our wandering selves. Because of this, when we see a courtyard wall covered with green vines, we think it is home; when we see a moss-covered ancient well, we believe there is water; when we see a half-open green curtained window, we think it is waiting for us.
8. What is love? Love is an unexpected encounter in the vast sea of people, a quiet window opened among the thousand lights, or a Bodhi tree in the dense forest. The path of cultivation is not as smooth as dancing sword flowers, but rather like a well-structured quatrain with beautiful imagery and rhythm.
9. From the moment of birth, it means moving away from purity and beginning to walk in the world of mortal dust. In the vast ocean of the world, we chase and search for the so-called home, but in fact, when has a person ever had a true hometown? We are all just temporarily staying, watching a few spring blossoms, and waiting for the new moon to become full. Staying is but a moment, and turning around leads to the ends of the earth.
10. No one can choose their hometown, whether it is born in the prosperous Jiangnan or growing up in the desolate frontier. This was predestined in a past life. Fate has arranged our origins and destinations; even if the place called “hometown” is not loved in our hearts, we cannot change its true existence. We can choose to migrate or be forced into exile, and all of this has already been predetermined. Always, we are just passers-by in the world, coming and going in the dust, you leave, and I stay, that’s all.
11. Not all interactions bring joy; over time, a heart of weariness will emerge. At that time, what we look forward to is parting, whether short or long, just willing to be apart. Never thought that one parting would become a lifetime. Always wanting to find an excuse to reunite, yet still being disappointed by the passing years, from now on, we can never meet again.
12. I am a Qingyi performer, my fate is like a chess piece manipulated by others. Thus, our encounter can only take place in a play. After singing “The Peach Blossom Fan” and “The Jade Hairpin,” it seems that time is just a simple cycle. I always thought that by removing the makeup of an actor, I could become as indifferent as a chrysanthemum. However, I unexpectedly ended up with longing like rain, turning a dream into an illness. One day, when the story in the play comes to an end, I won’t even be able to give you a ordinary embrace.
13. Life is full of emotions, so we are always willing to selflessly devote ourselves to some small, touching moments. Life can also be ruthless, as we desire a pure love in simple times, yet it often eludes us. After thousands of sails have passed, we just want to find a small boat, drifting east or west. Having met countless people, we only wish to find a confidant in our dreams.
14. If I were to leave, there would be no set date for our next meeting. I don’t know why, but every time I think of this sentence, a sense of desolation and heartache fills my heart. In one’s life, we have to go through too many farewells and partings. Those sudden departures often leave us unprepared and hurt. While we may meet again in different places, some turns in life truly mean never meeting again.
15. There are certain places we must visit in this life. Only by experiencing the distant landscapes and making our dreams a reality can we feel that our time on earth has not been in vain. But when we see the beauty of our dreams, can we truly remain silent and undisturbed? Little do we know that the settling of every speck of dust can disrupt the tranquility.
16. There is no need to follow the fragrance of the past; you are still the same person from yesterday. You have no memories related to me, yet you are the confidant of my life. You say that purity was your only beauty in the past, and aloofness is the theme of your present life. After witnessing the elegance of the white petals on the branches, I quietly await a sparse plum blossom rain. If my concern makes you feel lonely, I choose to forget and pretend not to remember, watching you breathe alone on the other side of the world.
17. In this life, there are always some people who are like stepping stones when you cross a river; like the fire needed to brew tea; like the streetlights illuminating your way home at night. But these people will eventually become passers-by, and even ourselves will one day return life to the passage of time. At that moment, where will our solitary shadows and traces be scattered?
18. If love is a play, then before the curtain falls, let us give up on each other and hold onto a lukewarm memory. In the days without you, I will be content; in the days without me, you must cherish yourself.
19. Some say that when people in love stay together, even time becomes beautiful. Those who utter such words must have experienced love, for only then can they truly understand the sweetness of poss
